TrackMyFone Parental Control - A New Monitoring App for Parents

The parental control market has been a little stagnant over the past few years. Now that every kid has a smartphone in their hands, the need for monitoring should drive more apps to innovate in the field. But it is very rare that you come across a software that does a little more than screening and blocking. And TrackMyFoneparental control is one such app that has taken the risk to be multipurpose, as well as readily available to parents everywhere.

Installing TrackMyFone

Installing TrackMyFone is a little unconventional since you have to purchase the app off their official website then download it onto your child’s phones. Then there are a few additional steps to setup after which you are good to go. If it seems complicated, you can simply contact their customer support and they will walk you through the process step for step. The only catch here is that parents who don’t want to let their kids know that they’re installing parental controls on their kid’s phone will have to physically put TrackMyFone on their device. But this is only a one-time thing.

Specs and Features

TrackMyFone has plenty of monitoring features, all of which aim at a different facet of a child’s smartphone use. You can monitor
·         Their call logs to see who they’re calling and who is calling them
·         Their sent and received text messages
·         All their IM chats
·         Their browser history to see what webpages they have been visiting
·         Their calendar events
·         Their photos and other multimedia
The data from all these features is uploaded onto a live control panel which you can access from your own computer or device.

A Glaring Loophole

While it is true that the application has made brave efforts into becoming much more than a conventional parental control, it has missed its mark in one place, which is compatibility. So far, the app is only available for Android and iOS. This alienates other users that use OS like Windows or Blackberry. They have targeted the more popularly used operating systems, but still ignored a big chunk of the market. They might redeem themselves with more updates in compatibility.

Bold, Different, Effective

All in all, the TrackMyFone parental control has dared to be bold in a market that has otherwise been stale for the past few years. They are different in that they provide monitoring in a more comprehensive manner to other parenting apps and they encourage more parents to be proactive in their kid’s smartphone life. And as a monitoring software for parents, it is undoubtedly effective.
